My daughter gets to play with all the good toys

She has been doing really well in her behavioural neuroscience classes at the university. I'm so proud of her, though I wish she could sneak me in to play with some of the cool stuff too. Something about security. Oh yeah, I guess you have to be a student or something. It doesn't count if I hadn't been there for a few years.

Her electron microscope slides of some lichen won a couple awards and this one made it into the 2009 calender, how excited I feel for her. I kind of miss the old campus.

Now that she is down for the Christmas break and seeking refuge from the chaotic life for the one day she'll be able to spend at home. Shes wanting a vegan dinner. I still hadn't decided what I'll be making yet, but I'll get it worked out.

I've pretty much have had the affectionate title of kitchen dad for quite some time. I'd always enjoy cooking at home and for anyone else that happens to drop by.

George - your job is an important one. You are the father who encourages the daughter, gives her respite - and also feeds her. ;)

Kudos to your daughter - I know next to nothing about neuroscience - but that slide of Lichen Branchings is impressive!

Your daughter sounds like an awesome person! I know you are so proud of her. And you are an awesome Dad. I love reading the "kitchen Dad" description. It sounds like it was a wonderful visit.

Thank you very much for your kind words, support, and friendship during a difficult time in my life. It is greatly appreciated.

You may be new to blogging, but I will say it again...you're doing a beautiful job. It has been a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to reading more during the coming year. Many good wishes for a wonderful new year:)

Thank you for your warm and welcomed responses.

Fatherhood has absolutely been one of the most rewarding adventures I'd had ever been on.

My oldest is thirty five and the youngest still at home is nineteen.

They in returned had allowed me to pursue and enjoy all my interest and endeavors without judgment, "I do have many".

I taught my boys to honor the women in their lives and treat others right with integrity.

My girls to learned the skills so they would not feel vulnerable or to be taken advantage of and with the confidences needed to make good judgements.

My kids are strong with the sensitivities of others and they expect the same from those they meet.

I couldn't had been more blessed in life. They had made me drunk with pride...
